A Cause That’s Close to Our Hearts
Heart disease is the #1 killer of American women. That’s a staggering fact, and one that not enough people are aware of. At Campbell Soup Company, we want to change that by raising awareness and helping women reduce their risk of heart disease.
For over 25 years, Campbell has been committed to promoting heart health through the products it makes and the causes it supports. Campbell offers a wide variety of great-tasting products that can fit into a heart-healthy lifestyle and meet the criteria for “healthy” foods, including Campbell’s® Healthy Request® soups, Low Sodium V8® 100% Vegetable juice, V8 V-Fusion® juices, Swanson® Premium Chunk chicken, Prego® Heart Smart Italian sauces, and select Pepperidge Farm® whole grain breads.
The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® movement launched in 2003-2004 to boost awareness of heart disease among women—as well as create a call to action for heart-healthy lifestyle changes. Since 2006, Campbell Soup Company has teamed up with the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® movement to help fight this disease.
Designed to warn American women of this important health threat, The Heart Truth campaign, sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (part of the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services), created and introduced the Red Dress as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002. Campbell has partnered with The Heart Truth campaign since 2008.
Campbell is committed to continuing our partnership with the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women® movement and The Heart Truth campaign. Campbell Soup Company has pledged $3.6 million over six years to the American Heart Association to help fight heart disease among women. This year, Campbell invited real people to contribute their very own Campbell red dress design along with a story of the female heart-health hero who inspired their sketch.
Campbell invites you to join us in celebrating the energy, passion and power we have as women to band together and fight heart disease.
